Battlefield 5 War in the Pacific

DICE’s massive free update for Battlefield 5, Chapter 5: War in the Pacific, will release on October 31st. It offers two new maps – Iwo Jima with its landing boats, dogfights, tanks and tunnel battles; and Pacific Storm, a naval focused map which takes inspiration Battlefield 4’s Paracel Storm. Check out the trailer below.

Two new factions also arrive in the US Armed Forces and the Imperial Japanese Army. They also bring new weapons including the Type 99 Arisaka, the Type 100 SMG, the M1919A6 machine gun and everyone’s favourite, the M1 Garand. There are even katanas and the M2 Flamethrower offered as Battle Pickups.

The release of War in the Pacific coincides with a free trial weekend taking place on all platforms. It will run from November 1st to 4th and allows for experiencing Chapter 5 along with all of the other multiplayer content in Battlefield 5. Stay tuned for next week’s patch notes or hop into this weekend’s free trial which focuses on Grand Operations.
