After cryptic messages sent to various content creators, various social media platforms glitching and whatnot, a livestream countdown to Battlefield 6’s reveal trailer is now available. The game’s official Twitter noted that all systems were “offline” and “rebooting” with the current loading at 10 percent. A clip with glitch animations can also be seen.

A recent leak indicated that the next Battlefield is called Battlefield 2042. This would seem in line with the futuristic setting that’s been touted in previous rumors and leaked screenshots. Along with 128 player multiplayer modes, there will reportedly be new tools like a grappling hook and wingsuit, “specialists” with unique abilities for each squad and much more.

The reveal trailer is currently slated to go live on June 9th at 7 AM PT so expect even more teases and updates on the “loading progress” in the meantime. An alpha is rumored to be announced and made available at EA Play Live on July 22nd. The game will release in Holiday 2021 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Xbox One and PS4.
