Bayonetta 3

Among the many, many announcements at the latest Nintendo Direct, PlatinumGames’ Bayonetta 3 received a new trailer. It pretty much repeated everything that we know thus far, but a more extensive gameplay video will be released after the Direct.

Bayonetta 3 is out on October 28th for Nintendo Switch, just in time for Halloween. The story sees the Umbra Witch teaming up with various allies, including newcomer Viola, to fight against the manmade Homonculi to stop a new threat called the Singularity. Along with her trademark guns, Bayonetta 3 can directly control Infernal Demons with the “Demon Slave” mechanic.

“Demon Masquerade,” meanwhile, allows her to fuse with an Infernal Demon and gain new abilities. Also, for the first time in the series, it adds a mode called “Naive Angel” for toning down the more risque content. Stay tuned for more details en route to release. Stay tuned for more details from the extensive gameplay trailer later.
