Pre-orders are officially live for Gearbox Entertainment’s Borderlands 4, with the Standard Edition retailing for $69.99. The post-launch content has been revealed, but that’s not all – the system requirements are now available on Steam.

Minimum requirements include an Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, 16 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 or a Radeon RX 5700 XT. A minimum of 8 GB VRAM and an octa-core CPU is required. The recommended requirements comprise a Core i7-12700 or Ryzen 7 5800X, 32 GB of RAM, and an RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800 XT. You’ll also need 12 or more GB of VRAM and eight or more CPU cores.

If that weren’t enough, a solid-state drive with 100 GB of installation space is required. Everything is a significant jump over Borderlands 3’s requirements, and it’s unknown what resolution and frame rate these specifications will deliver.

Launching on September 12th, Borderlands 4 will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC (with the Switch 2 version coming later). Stay tuned for more details on June 21st at the Borderlands Fan Fest livestream, including a new story trailer and gameplay.
