It was with the Resident Evil Ambassadors program that Capcom unveiled Project Resistance earlier this year, which turned out to be the multiplayer component of the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 3. But it seems Capcom will soon have even more in store for members of the program.
Capcom recently sent out emails to Resident Evil Ambassadors (via Reddit), and one particular section of the email was particularly interesting. It mentions that invites of play testing are being sent out to members for an unannounced Capcom game.
That is, of course, interesting because it could be any number of things. Capcom recently stated that it would focus more on remakes and revivals of classic franchises, in the wake of Resident Evil 2’s success, and just recently, they renewed trademarks for a bunch of major franchises, including Dino Crisis. Given that this is a Resident Evil-focused program though, there’s a chance that this is related to whatever the series has in store after Resident Evil 3.
Resident Evil 3, meanwhile, is close to wrapping up development. It will be out for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 3, 2020.
