Remedy Entertainment’s Control has received two new trailers, the first confirming its release date in August and the second announcing that pre-orders are live. However, both showcase the power that its protagonist is capable of wielding. Check them out below.

Control takes place in The Oldest House, the HQ for the mysterious Federal Bureau of Control. After a strange force called Hiss attacks the base and kills its director, it’s up to the newly instilled Jesse Faden to take back control (both literally and figuratively). To do this, she’ll wield strange abilities like telekinesis, which can throw objects at baddies and construct barriers of rocks.

Faden also has the Service Weapon, a transforming firearm that can be modified into different forms, like a rapid fire machine gun or a single shot high-powered pistol. Control is out on August 27th for Xbox One and PS4, with the PC version announced as a timed exclusive to the Epic Games Store. Pre-ordering the game will net exclusive items like the Tactical Response Gear and Crafting Resources Pack.
