For all intents and purposes, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy isn’t a remake. Technically, the entire structure of the game remains the same. However, the original geometry from the levels was used to build the game from scratch, which then led to Vicarious Visions throwing in their own art, audio and animation assets. The developer considers the game to be a “remaster plus” rather than leaning solely towards a remake or remaster.
