Microsoft announces that the Xbox One will require an update from Day One which will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to download. This was done in order to bypass the earlier mechanics the console featured, but it’s now becoming apparent that you might not be able to even use the console without the update. Microsoft also mentioned that its ID@Xbox program was in the making a long time ago, apparently forgetting about its previous indie game publishing policies. It also insisted that ID@Xbox wasn’t a reaction to the PS4’s indie support. Of course it wasn’t.
