Following its troubled launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has seen a number of mods that attempt to address issues with the game. You can check out our picks for the 15 best mods here but future mods could go even further. That’s because CD Projekt RED has released its official modding tools and resources for the open world action-adventure.
The tools will be updated alongside forthcoming patches so mods should be compatible with future game versions. Of course, as is usually the case with all games, some mods may not be 100 percent compatible (or even clash with in-game features that CD Projekt RED could add later). How much freedom modders will have to fix core issues with the game – like NPCs, police AI and so on – also remains to be seen.
CD Projekt recently released patch 1.1 for Cyberpunk 2077 with various fixes and performance improvements. Unfortunately, it also introduced a new bug in the “Down on the Street” quest, preventing players from progressing the main quest. The developer is already aware of the issue and will release a hotfix to address it “as soon as possible.”
