Darksiders Genesis

With Google Stadia now available, its next big title is probably Airship Syndicate’s Darksiders Genesis. Unlike its predecessors, it takes place from a top down perspective and focuses on War and Strife as they down baddies. To do this, they’ll have a variety of different abilities.

Referred to as the Creature Core system, both Horsemen will have different attacks and skills which can be customized. You’ll also obtain other skills from different enemies. The abilities are fairly overwhelming and it’s possible to switch between the two at any point. You can also use souls from downed foes to obtain more Creature Cores from a vendor named Vulgrim.

Darksiders Genesis will release for PC and Google Stadia on December 5th. The PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will receive it on February 14th 2020. Though it’s not a full-fledged Darksiders sequel, the perspective and customization available could make Darksiders Genesis a dark horse. Stay tuned for more details as we near release.
