SIE Bend Studio is celebrating the one year anniversary for Days Gone, it’s open world zombie action adventure title. Over on Twitter, it thanked players for their support while sharing a number of interesting stats. These include 200 million hours played cumulatively since launch, 45 million hordes wiped out and much more.
Though a bit rough around the edges, Days Gone did pretty well in sales, becoming the studio’s best-selling game ever. A number of free updates were released, polishing the experience and adding new difficulty options, challenges and so on. It even received New Game Plus support in due time.
Days Gone was listed, along with a number of PS4 titles, to be coming to PC but this later proved inaccurate. That doesn’t mean the team isn’t busy with something – a recent job listing for a Senior Technical Artist at the studio mentioned a new triple-A project in the works. Whether this is Days Gone 2 or not remains to be seen so stay tuned for more updates.
A year ago, players took their first ride on the Broken Road.
