Kojima Productions will host a special stage event at Tokyo Game Show 2024 for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on September 29th. It will feature a development update on the title, with appearances by actors like Kenjiro Tsuda and Nana Mizuki.

Both actors were seemingly teased in recent character silhouette images, fueling speculation that they’re part of the Japanese voice cast. Other guests include Nicolas Winding Refn (who did motion capture for Heartman in the first game), artist Daichi Miura, and actors Tomokazu Sugita and Shion Wakayama. Director Hideo Kojima will also be present.

The special stage event occurs from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM JST. On top of new information, there may be a new trailer and gameplay footage. Kojima may also announce a release window for the sequel, set to launch in 2025 for PS5. It finished filming and recording last May and entered the “adjustment” phase.

Tokyo Game Show 2024 runs from September 26th to 29th. Stay tuned for more details and updates on other companies attending.
