Death Stranding 2 On the Beach

If you haven’t seen enough of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, the Game Premiere Event hosted by Kojima Productions and Geoff Keighley has plenty more. Director Hideo Kojima dropped some new details on how players can summon the DHV Magellan upon establishing the Chiral Network and see the progression of its crew throughout.

There’s also some gameplay from the beginning, with Sam and Lou venturing through Mexico’s mountain range. While you could confront the spider-like Chiral creatures roaming around, it’s possible to avoid them (with the music naturally flowing to guide you). Earthquakes are showcased, and depending on the severity, you need to stand completely still to stay upright.

In snowy regions, you’ll have to deal with avalanches, but both have the same effect – significantly changing the map. From there, Kojima jumps to a different part of the game, where Sam ventures into another world to fight Neil and his soldiers. You can take a stealthy approach for taking down each soldier and even shoot Neil from behind, though he warps around.

Various weapons are showcased, from assault rifles and shotguns to a grenade launcher. The environment itself is stunning, with extensive fire, burning towers, fireworks and sparklers.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launches on June 26th for PS5. Stay tuned for more details and announcements from the event.
