Death Stranding 2 On the Beach

A month after the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on the PS5, Kojima Productions has released some infographics to showcase various statistics related to the game and its players. The two infographics highlight some of the most popular tools and weaponry used by players, as well as some funnier stats, such as the fact that kangaroos have consistently been the most rescued animals in the game by players.

When it comes to tools and weapons, the Assault Rifle [MP Bullets] Lv 1 and the Ladder both come out on top in their respective categories. On the tools side of things, the Ladder is followed by the PCC (Portal Construction Device) in second place, and Container Repair Spray in third place. On the weapons side of things, the Assault rifle is followed up by Blood Grenade Lv 1 in second place and the Machine Gun [MP Bullets] Lv 1 in third place.

There are also stats for vehicles used, with the Pickup Off-Roader taking first place in players’ preferred methods of transportation. It is followed up by the Tri-Cruiser in third place, and Sam Porter’s own two feet in third place.

When it comes to rescued animals, kangaroos are in first place, followed by emus in second place and wombats in third place. As for structures built, the Zip-Line takes the lead, followed by the Generator and the Timefall Shelter. Signs placed have also been highlighted, with Speed Up being the most popular sign that players leave for each other, followed by You Got This! And Keep On Keeping On in second and third place respectively.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was released just last month, and since then, has gone on to see quite a bit of success from critics as well as when it comes to commercial sales. Earlier this month, a report courtesy of industry analysis firm Ampere Analysis revealed that 1.4 million copies of the game were sold in June. The figure is especially impressive when you consider the fact that the game was only available for five days in June, as well as the fact that the game is exclusive to the PS5.

Kojima Productions had also highlighted the positive critical reception it had gotten for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach with a trailer released earlier this month. Check it out here.

Leading up to the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach last month, a launch trailer for the game was released. The trailer featured quite a few scenes from all over the game which, while could be considered spoilers, don’t really spoil much thanks to the fact that they’ve all been cut together without much in the way of context.

Shortly after the game came out, players had also discovered that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach made use of impressive technology that led to the game taking almost no time to load into a save file from the main menu. Check out our coverage for more details.
