Hideo Kojima and co. return to the centre of the stage with the upcoming Death Stranding just a few days from now, and anticipation for the game is sky high. To ratchet up that excitement a little bit more, Sony have released an accolades trailer for the game, highlighting the praise it has received from critics in reviews.

Death Stranding has been receiving some polarizing response from critics, and it very much sees like a “love it or hate it” kind of experience. In our own review of the game, we acknowledged that its unique concept meant that it might not be a game to everyone’s tastes, but we were nonetheless impressed with the game.

Our review noted: “Death Stranding is definitely an acquired taste, and its slow pacing and deliberate gameplay might not be for everyone, but its mechanical depth, its desolately beautiful and haunting world, and its confident and stylistic storytelling nonetheless make for a continental trek worth experiencing.” You can read our full review through here.

Death Stranding is out on PS4 on November 8, and will be releasing on PC in Summer 2020. A pre-launch countdown stream for the game will go live on November 7. In the meantime, check out the game’s launch trailer through here, though do note that it’s a bit spoilery.
