Though there were a number of good announcements during Sony’s State of Play presentation, Arkane Studios’ Deathloop was the star. In a new, nearly-10 minute gameplay walkthrough, we got to see protagonist Cole on the prowl for his target, Aleksis “The Wolf” Dorsey. Check it out below.

There are two ways to play through this mission – either by being stealthy or simply going in guns blazing. Both methods have their fair share of options available. If you want to pull enemies up and send them flying away with abilities to save ammo, go for it. Reprises, which allow one to rewind in a current life in case any of your mistakes are fatal, are also showcased.

But the highlight of the mission is the banter between Cole and Julianna, the latter either mocking, encouraging or mockingly encouraging the former throughout. Interestingly, it seems there’s a past between the two, one that our hero may not be aware of (and may only come to light when playing as Julianna). We’ll have to find out more when Deathloop releases on September 14th for PS5 and PC.
