Sony has finally confirmed when its next State of Play will be taking place – July 8th at 2 PM PST/5 PM EST. The 30 minute presentation will provide an extended nine-minute gameplay look at Arkane Studios’ Deathloop. Different gameplay methods – from a stealthy approach with abilities to full-on guns blazing – will be showcased.

Along with Deathloop, there will be updates “exciting” indie and third-party titles. Unfortunately, there won’t be any news on the next God of War, Horizon Forbidden West or even the next PlayStation VR. Updates are promised for later in the Summer so there’s still the chance for a full-blown first-party event. But for now, it seems that the next God of War won’t receive its first trailer this week.

As for Deathloop, it’s out on September 14th for PS5 and PC. It’s launching with a one-year exclusivity period for the console, which Microsoft will honor even after acquiring Bethesda Softworks. Stay tuned for more details on the action adventure shooter in the coming days.
