Today, Bungie and Destiny took a big step forward in the PC gaming space, when it shifted to Steam and opened its doors to the storefront’s huge userbase. Now, immediately after being available on Steam, Bungie is already seeing impressive sales for its looter shooter.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, the upcoming expansion of the first person shooter, is currently sitting on top of Steam’s list of top selling games. In fact, it occupies the top two positions, with Shadowkeep’s Digital Deluxe Edition sitting on top of the perch and the standard edition occupying second place. Just recently we learned of the level of success the Destiny IP has enjoyed since its inception, and doubtless, being available on Steam is bound to drive up those numbers even more.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is out now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, but if you’re yet to get your hands on it, you can check out the game’s opening gameplay segments through here. On Steam, Destiny 2 also supports cross-saves with PS4.
