After a long wait, Destiny 2’s latest big expansion The Witch Queen released last week for all platforms. The response from fans has been fairly positive with many praising the campaign and its writing. For those hoping to see more of the same in the next expansion, there’s good news.
Bungie’s Andrew Hobbs, who served as campaign lead for The Witch Queen, confirmed in a new tweet that he would be returning in the same role for Lightfall. Hobbs’ previous credits include Counter-Strike: GO and Left4Dead 2 along with being the World Lead on raids and dungeons for the Destiny franchise. All in all, it should be interesting to see what he brings to the table next.
Destiny 2: Lightfall was previously announced to be releasing this year but due to the delay of The Witch Queen, it may be pushed to 2023. Another expansion, The Final Shape, is also in development and will seemingly conclude the long-running tale between Light and Darkness. In the meantime, The Witch Queen’s raid is slated to go live on March 5th.
