Destiny 2 Season of the Drifter

Bungie has recently announced that Destiny 2’s update 2.2.1 would be increased the drop rate for Season of the Drifter’s weapons. These weapons will be added to the loot pool of Gambit Prime with an increased chance to drop. However, there’s also a higher chance to gain them from The Reckoning as well.

A nice new addition is that the drop chance for weapons will keep increasing in both modes for as long as the player doesn’t receive a weapon. In good time, you’ll receive a guaranteed drop. It was clarified by community manager Cozmo in a recent forum post that Gnawing Hunger, Just In Case, and Doomsday will remain exclusive to The Reckoning.

How much the drop rates have increased in terms of solid numbers is unknown. Players will have to get in and grind the weapons for themselves after update 2.2.1 launches to find out. The update will be going live on April 9th and also increases the drop rate for cosmetics from The Dreaming City and The Last Wish raid.
