For all of its awesomeness, Deus Ex: Human Revolution had one sticking criticism against it. For all the different ways there were to customize your character, you could only win boss battles through brute force.

Game designer Emile Pedneault, in an interview with Joystiq, addressed that. “The boss fights are now as they should have been. We took them and completely rebuilt them. We couldn’t change [the boss’ character] model and the way they need to die because of the story telling, but we changed the level layout. We tweaked their AI and we’ve added tons of ways to deal with them.

“You can deal with a boss fight in a stealth way, you can deal with a boss fight in a hacking way. We even have for each boss fight a way to kill them without firing a single bullet.”

So if you ever felt that your Revenge of the Nerds version of Adam Jensen was unfairly persecuted by the jock of a boss, here’s your chance for revenge when Deus Ex: Human Revolution releases for Wii U on May 7th.
