The wait is finally over – id Software’s DOOM Eternal is now available, allowing ravenous fans to rip and tear to their hearts’ content. Though the first person shooter launched early for some regions, it should be available worldwide now for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. For more information on the title, you can check out GamingBolt’s review here.

To celebrate the launch, game director Hugo Martin and executive producer Marty Stratton shared a short video message on Twitter. The duo thanked fans and also the developers involved. “So many great people put in so much work to make this day possible, and we really just want to thank everyone involved.”

DOOM Eternal takes place after the 2016 reboot and sees Earth overwhelmed by Hell’s forces. It’s up to the Doom Slayer to clean things up and he’ll do this with an arsenal of new tools like the Blood Punch, Flame Belch, a shoulder-mounted grenade launcher and the Crucible sword. Numerous weapons like the Super Shotgun make a return with some new modifications – like the Meat Hook which allows for grappling to an enemy and annihilating them up close.

Boasting a fairly long campaign, DOOM Eternal also has Battlemode for asymmetrical multiplayer and in-game events. It will also receive two new expansions down the line.
