Fortnite Season 7

Epic Games’ Fortnite has been one of the biggest successes of 2018, affecting the gaming industry as a whole. It’s successful on everything it is available on, from PC to consoles to mobile devices, hitting 200 million registered users as of November 27th. So what is the overall profit that the developer has accrued, now that the year is coming to a close?

According to a knowledgeable source that spoke to TechCrunch, Epic grossed $3 billion in profit for 2018. Though Epic Games hasn’t officially commented on the figure, it did start off the year on a big note. Regarding Fortnite at the time, lead systems designer Eric Williamson said, “Some people are saying we could be the biggest and best-played game [full stop] in the western world.”

Even with the holidays still on-going, Epic Games has remained committed to updating Fortnite. Along with new events, it also revamped the map in Battle Royale to be encompassed in snow. That’s not including the new content that arrived with Season 7, Creative Mode, or The Block, which hosts community creations for all Battle Royale players to see.
