final fantasy 7 remake

Following the developments in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Square Enix could be planning some spin-offs. On December 17th, trademarks for Ever Crisis and The First Soldier were filed in Japan. The Shinra Electric Power Company logo also received a trademark on December 22nd.

Ever Crisis seems somewhat related to Before Crisis: Final Fantasy 7 and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7, at least in terms of having the word “Crisis” in the name. On the other hand, The First Soldier could be related to Sephiroth since he was the driving force for Shinra to create the SOLDIER program. Perhaps a spin-off that explores his side of the story?

Square Enix hasn’t announced any spin-offs or other titles in the Final Fantasy 7 universe. It’s currently developing the next part for Final Fantasy 7 Remake though a release date is still to be announced. Final Fantasy 7 Remake is currently available for PS4 and is expected to release for other platforms once the timed exclusivity period ends. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
