The next Xbox Developer_Direct will take place on January 22nd at 10 AM PST/1 PM EST, as Microsoft offers a look at some of the biggest titles launching this year. As promised, Playground Games is present with both Fable and Forza Horizon 6. However, it’s also shining a fresh spotlight on Beast of Reincarnation from Pokémon developer Game Freak.

Fable will receive an “in-depth look,” including the first peek at new gameplay, with Microsoft reaffirming its 2026 release window. As for what you can expect, the publisher affirmed that “choice, consequence, drama, action, British humor and (of course) chickens,” all core themes for the series, are present but “reimagined for existing fans and new players alike.”

Forza Horizon 6 is also getting its first look at gameplay and the reveal of new features, with the development team also delving into “how Japan comes to life.” With rumors claiming a release in the first half of 2026, it’s the perfect time to properly flaunt “the beautiful and contrasting landscapes” of the new setting.

Finally, there’s Beast of Reincarnation, which will dive into how protagonist Emma’s plant manipulation works and how she’ll cooperate with Koo, her loyal canine companion. While this slate of offerings may seem fewer than past Developer_Directs, there’s always the possibility of a surprise or shadow drop.

Of course, Microsoft has plenty else in store for this year, from Gears of War: E-Day to Halo: Campaign Evolved. Rumors also claim that MachineGames is working not only on Wolfenstein 3 but also on a new multiplayer shooter inspired by Rainbow Six Siege.
