Final Fantasy 14 producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed during a PAX East 2024 panel that its upcoming crossover quest with Final Fantasy 16 starts on April 2nd. It will be available until May 8th.

The quest sees elements of the PS5 action RPG (also coming to PC) bleeding into the acclaimed MMORPG. “The Path Infernal” is the new quest and sees players meeting Clive Rosfield and eventually tackling Ifrit in a new boss fight. To even the odds, Eikonic Skills like Rising Phoenix can be used.

Rewards for completing the collaboration quest include Clive’s second outfit, a mount resembling his faithful hound, Torgal, and a minion resembling the latter’s pup form. Stay tuned for more details en route to the quest.

Final Fantasy 14 players can also look forward to the launch of Dawntrail on July 2nd. Pre-orders can access the expansion on June 28th, while Collector’s Edition owners will receive items based on Final Fantasy 9. Final Fantasy 16 will receive its next paid DLC, The Rising Tide, which launches on April 18th. Check out the latest gameplay here.
