Final Fantasy 14 x Final Fantasy 16

Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida and senior translator Michael-Christopher Koji Fox dropped several new details for The Rising Tide DLC. It’s out on April 18th for PS5, but that’s not the only content that Final Fantasy 16 fans can look forward to. The Final Fantasy 14 x Final Fantasy 16 crossover quest also goes live early next month.

Yoshida and Fox didn’t provide a release date, but they did promise a panel with the director/producer of the acclaimed MMORPG on March 23rd at PAX East 2024. The joke, of course, is that the latter is also Yoshida, so expect more details on the collaboration soon.

Thus far, it’s confirmed that the quest, “The Path Infernal,” sees Final Fantasy 14 players working with Clive Rosfield. A boss battle with Ifrit is also teased, with players utilizing skills like Rising Phoenix. Some rewards include Clive’s mid-game outfit, a Torgal mount and even a minion based on his pup form.
