Grinding for levels is an expected aspect of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and there are a number of tried-and-true methods to level up fast in the game.

Set Difficulty Mode

The simplest thing to do is to set difficulty to as low as you’re willing to go, since EXP is accrued much quicker the easier the mode.

Exp. Up Materia

Equip this on to your characters, as soon as you can get ahold of it. This is effectively an EXP doubler, and works in conjunction with every other method below. The materia will essentially halve the time it would take to reach max level, while working passively in the background.

Dozen Of Side Quests

It wouldn’t be a Final Fantasy game if there weren’t hundreds of side quests, and if nothing else, they can offer up large amounts of EXP upon successful completion, aside from all the rewards and additional lore learned.

Bosses

If you’re confident in your tactics, try to prioritize the toughest bosses possible instead of wasting time with lesser foes. These can often be found in specific side quests, as well as certain combat assignments. The EXP reward chunk from both vanquishing the boss and the task itself can be a major boost to your leveling progress.

Combat Assignments

Chadley has so many tasks for you, it may as well be a second job, and you will spend hours, if not days, fulfilling the various types of quests on his behalf. Repeatable tasks can serve as a continuous source of EXP.

Finish First Playthrough

After your initial completion of the game, you will be incentivized to return for several reasons, including double the EXP for your efforts. You can replay any part of the game through the Chapter Select menus, to attain 100% completion.

Level Cap

With level 70 being the maximum level, any character can achieve, you may want to pace yourself when it comes to grinding for EXP. While you will unlock the ‘Grind It Out’ trophy, it will burn you out on the game quickly.

That’s every little thing you can do to level up faster in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
