Square Enix is going all out with Final Fantasy 7 Remake, its current-gen re-imagining of the PS One classic. The first part will arrive in March 2020 and takes up two Blu-ray discs, culminating in the escape from Midgard (which has been significantly expanded from the original release). There’s a lot more to discover though along with the return of the Honey Bee Inn event, according to director Tetsuya Nomura.

In the latest Famitsu issue (via Ryokutya2089), Nomura confirmed the famous cross-dressing event at the Honey Bee Inn will be returning. Nomura stated that, “We’ve made it more modern. If we made the facility like we did in the original game, the physical unease would be staggering, so that was no good…” He also revealed that there would be “countless” other events to see in that entire section. This is in addition to what was included in the base game.

Nomura also discussed the designs for Tifa and Aerith, noting that the team wanted to provide a more Western-style appearance for one and a more Eastern-style appearance for the other. He also revealed that during battles, players will have items to recover MP. Each party member will also have their own enemy affinities and you can expect all-new enemies in the remake.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is out on March 3rd 2020 for PS4.
