It’s looking like we’re in for a packed show later tonight with The Game Awards 2019, with trailers and updates having been confirmed for the likes of Ghost of Tsushima and Half-Life: Alyx, while speculation is also afloat about reveals for new Batman and Crash Bandicoot games. One more game that’s been officially confirmed to be making an appearance is Square Enix’s upcoming mammoth RPG, Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Taking to Twitter via the game’s official page, Square Enix confirmed that a new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Remake – focusing on protagonist ex-SOLDIER Cloud Strife – will be airing at the show. The tweet mentions 5:30 PM PT as the time to tune in, so it’s likely that the trailer will be shown during the pre-show.
We will, of course, be covering The Game Awards in their entirety, so stay tuned for any and all updates coming from the event.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is out on March 3, 2020 for the PS4. Recently, it came to light that the game’s PlayStation exclusivity will last for a year- read more on that through here.
Who is Cloud Strife? Longtime fans know him well, and we’re excited to introduce his story to everyone watching #TheGameAwards. Tune in tonight at 5:30PM PT for a new trailer that focuses on everyone’s favorite ex-SOLDIER! https://t.co/b7fYAQyFSx #FF7R
