Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles

During its own show at Gamescom, Xbox, along with Square Enix, has released a new trailer for the upcoming remaster of classic tactical RPG, Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles. The trailer, which you can check out below, showcases some of the upcoming title’s gameplay and unique features.

Turn-based tactical gameplay of Final Fantasy Tactics is heavily defined by its Jobs system, which allows the player to customise the classes – referred to in the game as Jobs – of all of their characters. This allows players to make use of unique combinations of special abilities and magical spells that can only be obtained by specific jobs.

As the trailer shows, players can also use the experience earned by their characters to learn more powerful abilities, with one of the examples in the trailer showcasing how powerful the Umbra spell can be to help support allies.

Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and the Switch 2 on September 30. For more details, also check out its story trailer from last month.
