Following its latest trailer and release date reveal at The Game Awards 2021, Luminous Productions’ Forspoken has received a new four minute gameplay trailer. It sees protagonist Frey Holland exiting a city, bustling with different NPCs, and venturing into the wild open world. Check it out below.

The trailer provides a look at the different equipment that Frey can use like necklaces, cloaks and nails, each providing different perks. It’s not long before combat breaks out, showcasing the devastating array of spells that players can unleash. Whether you want to set a trap that explodes, rain down projectiles on foes or encase them in a water sphere that explodes, there’s a lot to like.

Performance is rough in a number places like combat but it’s early days yet and hopefully these should be smoothed out by launch. Forspoken is out on May 24th 2022 for PC and PS5. Head here for more details on its pre-purchase bonuses and various editions.
