Forspoken Releases May 24th, 2022; New Spells Showcased in Gameplay Trailer

Developed by Luminous Productions, the title sees Frey Holland transported to Athia to battle against the blight and defeat the Tantas.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade coming to PC wasn’t the only big announcement from Square Enix. It also confirmed that Luminous Productions’ Forspoken will be releasing on May 24th 2022. Check out the latest gameplay trailer below which showcases the various spells and movement options that Frey can utilize.

Previously living in New York City, our protagonist finds herself mysteriously transported to Athia. Despite having powerful magic and abilities at her disposal, the world is suffering a terrible blight that corrupts everything. Meanwhile, the previously benevolent Tantas have gone mad and instigating chaos. It’s up to Frey to set things right and serve as the last hope for the world.

Along with battling the Tantas, she’ll also take on various hideous monsters and find out more about the world. Forspoken is coming to PS5 and PC with a writing team that includes Uncharted creator Amy Hennig. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming months.
