Fortnite Season 8

The latest season for Epic Games’ Fortnite has been fairly eventful with a vault opening, Tilted Towers being destroyed, and the Drum Gun returning (not to mention that whole Avengers: Endgame event). Given all the changes taking place, it’s easy to forget that Season 9 is right around the corner. A new tweet from the developer has served to remind us that the next season starts on May 9th.

Not only that, but the tweet also offers a tease of what to expect. It states “The Future is Unknown”, with the image in question having some slight sci-fi tones. Given all the craziness that the game has witnessed in less than two years, it will be interesting to see what a season focused purely on a futuristic theme would look like.

If you’re looking to consolidate accounts across multiple platforms for the game, you better hurry. The Account Merging feature ends today, making this the last chance that players have to combine all of their cosmetics and currency earned into one place. Stay tuned for more details on Fortnite Season 9 in the coming days.
