As Playground Games prepares to delist Forza Horizon 4 this December, Forza Horizon 5 continues to see an influx of players. The open-world racing sim has reached 40 million players per its in-game player counter (via Snap Blast PLAY on Twitter), up from +37 million on February 12th.
While this doesn’t indicate the number of copies sold, it’s no secret that the title is successful for Microsoft. On launch day, it had over three million players, which was the biggest for an Xbox Game Studios title at the time. It would subsequently cross 10 million players in its first week.
Playground Games is working on Fable, but Forza Horizon 5 continues to see updates. Alongside new cars, it added the Horizon Wave Radio Station, bringing 21 new songs with a dedicated DJ. There’s also the Neon Highway, further adding to the retro vibes. Head here for more details.
Forza Horizon 5 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. You can read our review for the base game here.
