Forza Horizon 5 players have been reporting a bunch of crashes on the PC version specifically. Many users have reported the issue being caused when running Discord screen share alongside the game, which is something that has been stated as incompatible, according to the Forza Horizon 5 support page.

The support page lists a number of programs such as Discord, MSI Afterburner, OBS, and XSplit, among a few others, as being potential reasons for the game to enter a fail state. While Playground Games hasn’t mentioned any timeline for a potential fix, many users have since been able to discover various workarounds for the problems, such as using Discord’s desktop capture instead of sharing the game, or using a Canary build of Discord, among others.

Forza Horizon 5 has been receiving rave reviews across the board, and has garnered 3 million players already. The game’s gorgeous visuals and relaxed pacing make it ripe for streaming to friends and fans, among other things. Hopefully, Playground Games does the needful at the earliest to resolve any issues that get in the way of that.
