Forza Horizon 5

Developer Playground Games just delivered an excellent open-world racer in the form of Forza Horizon 5, and while it’s still hard at work on the upcoming Fable reboot, it seems that the studio is also staffing up for the next entry in its premier racing franchise.

Playground Games has posted a job listing for a level designer on GameJobs, and the description states that the candidate is expected to join the team for its “next AAA title”. Additionally, the description also states that the candidate will be a part of the Forza Horizon team, obviously implying that we are not seeing a listing for Fable or an unannounced new IP here.

“Playground Games is looking for a Level Designer to join our Forza Horizon team,” the listing reads. “As a member of the design team on a AAA title, you’ll take responsibility for large sections of the game’s level design, as well as mentoring and leading junior teammates.

“You will be a part of the level design team on our next AAA title, responsible for creating fun, playable gameplay experiences. During pre-production you will work closely with environment artists to create and iterate whitebox environments which prove core gameplay concepts.”

It’s rather obvious that Forza Horizon 6 would be in the very early stages of development at some point, given the success of its predecessor and the series as a whole, but fans shouldn’t expect to see this game anytime soon.

As for Forza Horizon 5, the game recently received a new update that added new Ferraris alongside other bug fixes and improvements- read more on that through here.
