Genshin Impact - Update 2.0

Genshin Impact players can finally venture to the Inazuma region with the release of update 2.0. It adds new story quests, side quests, activities and various secrets to discover in three of the six isles available in the region. Of course, a new character banner is also live and brings Kamisato Ayaka and Yanfei to the roster.

A new “Collected Miscellany” video has been released, detailing Ayaka’s abilities and passives. As a 5 star sword-wielder with a Cryo Vision, her attacks consist of rapid strikes and charged Iai attacks. Her Elemental Skill, “Kamisato Art: Hyouka”, sends out ice to damage her foes while the Elemental Burst, “Kamisato Art: Soumetsu”, unleashes a storm of cutting winds that deal Cryo damage.

While dashing, Ayaka cloaks herself, allowing her to traverse water quickly. Upon emerging, she’ll freeze nearby enemies and also gains Cryo damage on default attacks for a short period. This can be augmented with her first Ascension passive “Kanten Senmyou Blessing” which restores 10 Stamina and provides 18 percent increased Cryo damage for 10 seconds.

Time will tell how good Ayaka is in some of the tougher challenges that Genshin Impact has to offer. In the meantime, stay tuned for details on other characters including Yoimiya.
