After months of rumors and a massive leak, an announcement for the next Grand Theft Auto is reportedly coming this week. This is according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, who spoke to “people familiar” with Rockstar Games’ plans.

It will also debut a trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 in December, celebrating the developer’s 25th anniversary. Rockstar didn’t provide any comment on the report, but the alleged timing of the trailer could mean a reveal at The Game Awards on December 7th.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is reportedly set in a fictional version of Miami and its surrounding areas with two playable characters (described as a Bonnie and Clyde-like duo), including the first female protagonist. The original plan was to have four playable characters and three cities, but Rockstar is allegedly looking to add new missions and locations over time to reduce crunch.

The eagerly anticipated open world title could launch before April 2025, though some rumors have indicated a Holiday 2024 release. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days.
