Until it’s actually in our hands, every new information drop on Grand Theft Auto 6 is going to be waiting until the next. Of course, with the lack of a new trailer since May 2025 and no raw gameplay, more than a fair number of fans are growing impatient.
Thankfully, it seems Rockstar could be revealing new information in August. Insider NateTheHate expects to “see a fair bit” of it “next month,” though in what capacity is obviously anyone’s guess. Of course, he also noted that it’s currently “too soon to share anything Rockstar related; but maybe I’ll share something when it gets more near.”
For those thinking that another delay could happen despite multiple assurances from parent company Take-Two Interactive, the insider says, “No. GTA 6 will arrive in November as planned.”
August is notable for several reasons, and not just because Take-Two will host its next earnings call. Gamescom is slated for August 26th to 30th, and while the odds of a hands-on demo are up in the air, far be it from Rockstar to not drop a new trailer on, say, Opening Night Live. There may even be hands-on impressions from publications to coincide with the same.
Time will tell, as always, because the developer is nothing but careful when it comes to doling out new information, especially after leaks. Analyst firm Newzoo claims that its pre-order campaign is performing amazingly, raking in around $260 million within the first week of availability. This could lead to about $4.5 billion in sales within launch week if the momentum continues.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is out on November 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Head here for more details.
