343 Industries is releasing a “small” patch for Halo Infinite later today at 11 AM PT. Full patch notes will be available on Halo Waypoint but it should fix issues regarding Power Seed spawns. A fix for Fireteam invites on Xbox and changes to Capture-the-Flag’s Sudden Death rules are also included.
The patch comes at an interesting time with 343 Industries facing backlash for lack of content and updates. Community director Brian Jarrard highlighted the “challenges and constraints” that the team was facing and how “a lot of production planning, costing, planning, hiring, etc.. is all happening which doesn’t really lend to detailed regular updates.”
He also acknowledged that “the community is simply out of patience and frankly, I think understandably tired of words” but stated that more time was needed. New details on Season 2: Lone Wolves were subsequently revealed which includes a new Arena map in Catalyst and a new Big Team Battle map with Breaker along with numerous improvements. New modes like Last Spartan Standing and Land Grab are also coming while King of the Hill and Attrition make a return.
Campaign co-op is also slated for Season 2 though it won’t be available at launch. Meanwhile, Forge is slated to arrive in Season 3.
A small patch for #HaloInfinite will go live at 11am PT tomorrow, April 5. This includes fixes for Power Seed spawns, Fireteam invites on Xbox, and changes to CTF's Sudden Death rules. Patch Notes will be published at https://t.co/VGbBZeo64K when the patch is available.
