Following its announcement of Escalation of Freedom for Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Game Studios has confirmed that the Freedom’s Flame Warbond would arrive two days later. The latter was leaked beforehand and teased fiery weapons for players. A new trailer highlights the same alongside the armor and available cosmetics. Check it out below.
There are three new weapons – SG-451 Cookout, a shotgun with incendiary bullets; the FLAM-66 Torcher, a lightweight flamethrower; and the secondary P-72 Crisper, which is also a flamethrower but with a shorter range. There’s also a Booster that causes your Hellpod to ignite the ground when landing.
The new armor sets include the I-09 Heatseeker and I-102 Draconaught, while the new armor passive provides 75 percent resistance to fire damage. A new title, capes, cards, and emotes also await, alongside an orange skin for your shuttle, Hellpod, and Exosuit.
Helldivers 2: Escalation of Freedom launches on August 6th while Freedom’s Flame arrives on August 8th for PS5 and PC. Stay tuned for more details when they go live.
