WANT: BETTER CLIMBING
Another one of Zero Dawn’s bigger issues was its restrictive traversal and movement mechanics. In particular, its climbing felt a bit too limited. There was almost zero room for failure, movements felt too mechanical, and options were too limited. If Forbidden West does indeed want to keep climbing mechanics around (and it definitely should), it should ensure that they return with significant improvements. Being able to climb any surface in the game’s world a la Assassin’s Creed or Breath of the Wild, for instance, would make traversal significantly more enjoyable.
