Horizon Forbidden West will be getting a large-scale expansion soon with Burning Shores, taking players to the ruins of Los Angeles and bringing with it the promise of plenty of new high-stakes content. But., as it turns out, not all players will be able to dive into the experience.

It seems Sony has decided not to sell the expansion in Russia. Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores’ page on the Russian PlayStation Store has been shut down, while it seems Sony is also cancelling pre-orders for the expansion from Russian players, with refunds for the same also being initiated (via Reddit).

A number of companies in the industry (and beyond it) have made the decision to pull their products from sale in Russia over the last year, due to the nation’s invasion of Ukraine, so this doesn’t come as a huge surprise, even if it is Sony’s first communication about Burning Shores not being sold in Russia.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is set to launch on April 19 for PS5.
