Horizon: Zero Dawn PC – AMD Bundles Possibly Hinting At Imminent Release

The open world action RPG currently has a rough "summer" release window.

It’s been a while since Sony announced Horizon: Zero Dawn for PC. At the time, they gave it a rough “Summer 2020” release window, and haven’t elaborated on that since- but some new developments might have given us a clearer idea of when exactly the open world title will come to PC audiences.

As spotted by Rock Paper Shotgun, marketing for the Horizon: Zero Dawn AMD bundle has started emerging. Though AMD’s website isn’t yet showing the bundle, many retailers, including Scan, Chillblast, and Overclockers are are marketing the bundle that will give players a free copy of the game along with a purchase of a Ryzen processor.

The bundles stipulate the redemption codes for the game need to be redeemed through AMD’s portal by July 30, 2020 at most. That’s significant because previous AMD bundles have put expiration dates on redemption codes that match up with the respective games’ release dates- which would suggest that Horizon: Zero Dawn will be out on PC on (or before) July 30.

Guerrilla Games have previously confirmed that Horizon: Zero Dawn will support ultrawide resolution on PC, though the game won’t have an FoV slider.

In related news, it’s possible that Horizon: Zero Dawn 2 could be announced at the PS5 reveal event later today- read more on that through here.
