As per a report published by MP1st citing anonymous sources, and corroborated by VGC in its own reporting, Guerrilla Games is currently developing a PS5 remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn. The open world action RPG launched for PS4 five years ago, in 2017.

As per the reports, it will feature an improved lighting system, overhauled textures and animations, and new character models to bring the visual experience more in line with Horizon Forbidden West. Guerrilla Games is also adding quality-of-life gameplay improvements, options for multiple graphics modes, and accessibility features.

In addition, the reports also claim that Guerrilla Games is working on an open world co-op Horizon game, which aligns with previously alleged details. The game will apparently feature customization options based on the various in-universe tribes in Horizon’s world.

Meanwhile, a recently deleted tweet by actor Lance Reddick – who plays Sylens in the Horizon games – seemingly suggested that a Horizon Forbidden West expansion could be in the works. Guerrilla and Firesprite are also working on PSVR2’s Horizon Call of the Mountain
