Humankind

It’s no secret that Amplitude Studios’ Humankind will be having a closed beta, available to those who pre-purchase the game on Steam or the Epic Games Store. However, it seems to have gone live during the PC Gaming Show. Even better is that it adds esports host Frankie Ward as an AI Persona.

Yes, Ward is actually an avatar in the game and will be available during the closed beta to compete against. In terms of content, players can expect to play through five out of six eras in total. Players can create their own civilizations with the game’s unique creation tool and attempt to gain supremacy by achieving different milestones (like your average 4X title).

Humankind releases on August 17th for PC after facing a delay earlier this year. Amplitude Studios is also working on Endless Dungeon, a roguelite squad-based shooter set in the Endless universe. For more details, head here.
