More dinosaurs, new biomes, bigger maps, terrains and territories, and a bevy of quality of life improvements are going to be part of the package in Jurassic World Evolution 2but one of the biggest new features that Frontier Developments are bringing to the table with the sequel is scientists. In a newly released trailer, they’ve provided a brief primer on what they’re about and how they will change the core loop.

While in the first game things such as extraction of DNA from fossils and incubating dinosaurs were handled simply by specific buildings in the park, now, players will need to recruit scientists. Each scientist will have specific attributes suited to special tasks, and these will have to be kept in mind while recruiting them, from cheaper incubations or requiring lower salaries to being faster at researching or specializing in logistical tasks.

Each scientist can, of course, also be trained further with training points to improve their skills, while you also need to maintain their stress levels and not overwork them. A burn out scientist can lead to some pretty disastrous consequences.

Check out the trailer below for more details.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is due out some time this year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Frontier Developments recently also detailed the changes being made to the Sandbox and Challenge modes. Read more on them through here.
