Knockout City

EA’s Knockout City, a futuristic team-based multiplayer title based on dodgeball, is already off to a strong start. Developed by Velan Studios, it currently has two million players according to an official tweet. The title is currently having its free trial which will be for another five days or so.

The objective in Knockout City’s matches is pretty clear – take down the opposing team’s members using balls. There are numerous ball types in the game to facilitate like the Bomb Ball which explodes  (and other players can be thrown as well). Tackles, fake throws and Ultimate Throws, which lock on to foes, can also be used to succeed.

Knockout City features five maps and modes like Team KO, Ball-Up and Diamond Dash. Currently available for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Switch, it supports cross-play across all platforms. New content, including cosmetics, will be added in future seasons so stay tuned for additional modes and maps in the coming months.
