The gameplay reveals for Lords of the Fallen, Hexworks’ follow-up to the 2014 Souls-like action RPG, continue with 17 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay. While the previously showcased Ruiner fight is seen at the beginning, the rest is brand-new and offers a look at Radiant magic in combat. Check it out below.

While exploring and interacting with shiny objects, players can be pulled into Umbral, the Land of the Dead, by enemies. You can either fight off the hordes of hungry souls or escape back to Axiom as soon as possible. A new boss fight is also seen, which starts with a dragon exiting a portal and raining down fire.

The dragon’s rider then jumps off and starts firing magic, getting up close with three blades and a shield. When the player dies, they continue the fight in Umbral, though the boss takes on a more demonic appearance and the dragon returns.

Lords of the Fallen launches on October 13th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Head here for the latest story trailer and here to watch the first 13 minutes.
